Dr. Sidney P. Smith III, MD
Dr. Smith attended undergraduate school at Georgia State University and the Medical College of Georgia. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and served as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (Medical Honor Society). He attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine for Internal Medicine training and completed his Dermatology Residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center. He then completed his Fellowship for Mohs Skin Cancer Surgery at Ohio State University of Department of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Smith currently resides in Savannah, Georgia with his wife and three children; a son and two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, kayaking and walking at the beach.

James K. Austin is a partner of the firm practicing primarily in the corporate section. He graduated from Duke University and cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. Since 1991, Jim has engaged in the general representation of corporate clients which has involved work primarily in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contracts law, banking and finance, real estate transactions and general employment law. Jim also practices in the areas of trusts, estates and probate law and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Mahfet has over 15 years of experience in public accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in Accounting (B.B.A. 1996) and Economics (B.B.A. 1995). Danny’s expertise includes working closely with privately owned businesses, along with the stakeholders, to meet and exceed their accounting and tax needs. His focus includes physician practices, automobile dealers, and professional service firms. Danny is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Savannah and is also a board member of the Historic Savannah Foundation, a member of the Savannah Quarterback Club, Propeller Club of the United States-Port of Savannah, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. He is married and has two children.
Max is a Financial Advisor in the Statesboro Merrill Lynch office. As a Financial Advisor, Max focuses on total wealth management and provides solutions for multidimensional personal and business finances. Max has a defined process by which he works with each client. He insists on understanding the specific situations of the people he works with; thereby being able to establish objectives, develop an appropriate strategy, recommend solutions, and review the progress we are making together toward reaching those goals and objectives. With Max, clients can expect to receive personalized advice and access to the specialized investment services required by sophisticated investors. Max meets regularly with clients to ensure their financial lives are consistent with their personal circumstances.
Max is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and has been in the financial services industry and with Merrill Lynch since 1985. He lives in Statesboro, Georgia with his wife and two children.
